Alex, Thanks for the pics, and so nicely identifying the breeds. In my 2000 visit to Eire, I had many close encounters of the sheep kind. While on the Dingle, we parked to allow a herd overtake, and a young un hopped on the bonnet, then glared at us through the windscreen. The shepherd guided it back to the flock, and apologized for its behaviour. We were so thrilled with the friendliness of his herd, we said no apologies in order, as we were laughing so hard. BTW, the hire car lot didn't give us any grief over the hoof marks.. Maybe it's grandparent supplied the MacNeil Ancient I was wearing...?
