Hello Rabble,

Before I get into the stories, first a photo!

Now for the stories.... A couple of weeks ago I received an email from our very own Matt Newsome regarding some hose tops that he had available and asked if I was interested in them. Being a confirmed kilt-aholic, I instantly agreed that I would take them off of his hands. These wonderfully hand knit tops came in the mail on Monday and I finally got around to trying them on today.

All I can say is WOW! They certainly dress up any pair of hose they are attached to. In the above photo they are being worn over a pair of cream colored hose and, in my opinion, add quite a bit of class to the overall theme.

For the smile part, just look at the picture again. That rather rotund individual pictured might just have his face split in two with giddiness!

Thank you Mr. Newsome and please pass on my thanks to your bride for a wonderful product she has created. These will continue to receive a lot of wear!

Now for the 'question unexpected'.... As many of my stories start, so does this one.... During my morning routine of heading to the corner convenience store to feed the caffeine beast, I was approached by a rather elderly chap who was dressed out to the nines. Dark suit, dark sunglasses, white shirt and power tie. As he approached he got a big grin on his face and said "do you mind if I ask you a question?" Uh-oh I thought, what is this one going to be about, but stated "sure thing". To which he responded "would you mind telling me where you got those hose, I have been looking for something similar for one of my kilts." Needless to say, It was not quite what I was expecting. I did respond that these were brand new and not really a pair of hose that he might expect, but simply a knitted cuff worn over normal hose. He rather liked the idea (So Matt, if you hear from a man named Greg asking about these, it is my fault )

All in all, a rather nice way to break in these new items....
