Tartan search - stumped
Good morning everyone - have a query before the remainder of my hair falls out!
I have been asked to research an O'Neil/O'Niall tartan from a swatch I've been given.
Having had a few trips round the Web, I am still at a loss as to the derivation of this one.
The colours are dark green -broad dark blue overcheck (something similar to Black watch but lighter) -centred on the green is a double red overcheck and lighter green double stripe with a single white stripe through this - to the outside of the green is a single dark green stripe -
Through the blue overcheck is placed a double red stripe.
It looks as if it would be a great looking kilt etc if worn.
Having asked elsewhere someone mentioned as having seen something of it's like 'in an American book'. Bit loose that but if anyone can point me in the direction of the tartan or book I would be extremely grateful. In fact any help with this would be appreciated, however small.
Many thanks
