I'm strictly a commuter cyclist; have been for many years; no road racing or off-road cycling; though Phoenix has a lot of great mountain & off-road trails (just don't ride too close to the jumping cactus!).

I'm currently riding a Gary Fisher Tiburon. I ride most days to work (about 8.3 miles each way) & if I've got the time, I prefer riding my bicycle rather than driving my car within about a 15 mile radius or so. (There's been an oil crisis for at least 35 years now, in case you hadn't heard. ) Yep, I even ride when it's 110+ - lots of water & thank God for sunblock!

I don't ride kilted - I ride too hard & sweat too much - the kilt would be a mess. Plus, when I kick my leg over the crossbar, I'd answer "The Question" for anyone in viewing distance opposite me.

Here I am ready to head off to work - the saddlebags contain my toiletries & change of clothes, above them is my briefcase w/ laptop & resting on top of the briefcase right behind my seat is my kilt roll.

Ride a bicycle often for yours & Mother Earth's health!
