Kilt on New Years? Yes or No?
A lady friend of mine is coming to visit over the holidays. She lives on the other side of the country and we have been close friends for years. She moved out there long before I purchased my kilt and she wants to see it in person and not just in pics. She was hoping that we could go out for New Years and dance, dinner, at a semi-formal type of event just for fun. She also asked if I would wear my kilt that night so she could see me in it.
Now, I don't have any problems wearing my kilts, but I also wish to take care of it. And I can't help but think that a large group of rowdy people, perhaps a bit too indulgant with the booze, will be making all sorts of wise *** comments, unwanted kilt checks, and perhaps leading to a few harsh conflicts.
Anyone been in a similar situation and what is your advice?
