She had real limits with wearing the kilt originally, but she's breaking, slowly. My son and I wore ours out to shop last week, she didn't go along, but today I told her I was going to wear it again one day this weekend, but I would let her pick. She has said she doesn't want me to wear it on our 'family day' but our son picked out my shirt and decided I needed to wear the kilt today, and it 'matched' so he won.

The comments were about 50/50 today, the first was a guy that came up and asked about linage, and after saying I wasn't directly Scottish mentioned something about it must be comfy, but my wife thinks that after saying I wasn't Scottish that he was weirded out. The next two comments were rather downhill from there, the first was a woman at walmart that said 'skirt' and started laughing like I was a standup comic. Then a few feet later, a woman (ugly at that) said she hoped I had something dang warm under it (In a manner that suggested she had hit the bottle, or soon would be) but after that, pretty much all positive. One woman in an electric scooter stopped me and asked about it, she wants to get her husband one, since he was descended from highland (she said she was lowland) so I gave her one of my business cards (for hotsauce) with stillwaterkilts and xmarks websites written on the back.

My wife hasn't broken yet, and she still has restrictions, but its getting better...
