Trying to be sure of Grampa's tartan
I was able to take this photo home recently from my father's album.
It's a picture of my maternal great uncle, known to me as "grampa", as he and my great aunt raised my Mom. The handwritten note on the back of the photo reads,
"Christmas, 1961, England"
It LOOKS like the Stewart Hunting tartan to me, but the photo is old and dark, so I'm not sure. His own background was Campbell, but "grandma" had many Royal Stewart tartan items, including a bagpiper doll and wool blanket we now own.
What tartan do you think he's wearing in this kilt photo?
Opinions please?
