Sporran Closure Question

One thing I have though about but not done is to substitute elastic cord for the drawstrings. That way the back would gather automatically and one would only need to loop the thing over the button.

Now that is a great idea! That's what I love about X Marks, you put all these disparate heads together and good things come out! I will let you know if I wind up trying either or both of the magnetic closure and elastic.
