First, an apology: I know I have been lax in posting photos over the past six weeks or so - kilted trip to France, ditto to California (+ Nevada and Arizona!), etc. - and this will be rectified as soon as each day is legitimately extended from 24 to 36 hours!

However, the point of this thread is to introduce you to kilts #96, #97 and #98 in The Kollection - and all of them were acquired during my recent two week stay in the USA.

The first two were awaiting my arrival in Palm Springs five weeks ago since I had pre-ordered them from Rocky and Kelly at USA Kilts. Both are in their Semi-Traditional range which I find just absolutely perfect for the heat of California (#69 and #70 were bought for the same reason two years ago). So here are the new ones:

#96 is in the 'Tara' or 'Murphy' tartan When I showed some indecision in making the selection, Rocky kindly gave me a push in this direction - and I am so glad he did. I love this tartan and it has received quite a number of compliments from strangers:

#97 is in the 'MacBeth Ancient' tartan. I wanted something bright, cheerful and summery for this visit to Southern California - and this tartan certainly meets my every requirement!

#98 is something different! A little while ago fellow X Marker, Gary (Wompet), very kindly offered me a kilt in his family tartan for The Kollection. The super Sackett tartan was commissioned by Gary from the supremely informed and talented Matt Newsome, and I am thrilled to have it. This kilt, handmade by Gary himself, was brought to me in Palm Springs by one who needs no introduction - Jamie (Panache) - and so, with so many good friends involved, this Sackett kilt is an especially important addition to my wardrobe/Kollection:

So, now that I have brought you up to date with the contents of The Kollection, I must try to find time to show you images from France and the south-western USA.

Take care,
Ham.
