The heavy weight are about the weight of medium wool hose. The regular are just a little heavier than men's dress socks. One size fits most actually works in this case. I wear size 14 shoes and have large muscular legs, and these are long enough and big enough to be able to fold over my garters just fine. MUCH cooler than wool, for Washington DC's humid summer. I received my order promptly and as ordered. Recommended.

How are these on the soles of your feet? The reason I ask, is that I bought some cotton hose form Hamilton Dry Goods. They had a fairly open weave and were not to kind to the soles of my feet. I think I've heard this called waffle foot. I can wear them, but I have to wear a pair of ankle socks underneath.
