I need help. Remember a few months back when there was that initial excitement about Maple Leaf and weathered Ulster remnants? We sold out the Maple Leaf in like 2 days? I purchased 4 meters of the Ulster at the time. Anyone else buy it and remember what weight they listed it as?
Reason I'm asking is that I recieved an email from BarbT that my kilt is coming (yeah!!) and she made a comment about how light the tartan was and that 13/14 oz tartan doesn't hold pleats as well or resist wrinkles like heavier fabric. Somewhere in my brain I thought that F&K listed that as 16oz fabric at the time, which was part of the excitement, really. Getting such a good price on 16oz fabric got everyone jonesing, from what I recall. Can anyone remember? Doesn't matter, really, but I'm just curious. Well, I guess it will matter if I order from there again. Would be good to know if they tend to overestimate the weight, etc.
