39 years old today and the kilt
So I turn 39 years old today....Its strange...Time has gone by so quick! I've had a really wonderful, adventurous life up till now, and I've been able to travel the world and live in South Africa for 6 years, play in a wonderful Pipe band in my youth and early adult life, work for my FAVORITE computer company (Apple), have really neat/multi cultured children, be the owner of my own company, and become the master of run-on sentences.....Its been a fun ride with not-too-many down sides.
But the one constant thats been in my life from the beginning is the kilt. I have worn one ever since I can remember. Even in middle school to high school to college to life-I was always wearing one. Its been a great love affair, and only recently have a really re-fallen in love with it, and I can proudly say that I am kilted about 95% of the time. I am not even sure when the last time I wore pants was!!!!
So on this day, I'd like to encourage you all to keep up the passion-Its a lifetime commitment that need never get old. Share it with your relatives and friends as I have done. Most of all, be proud to wear something that has true meaning and value such as the kilt. Its not shallow, or a fad-Its for real! And by participating, you honor many hundreds of thousands who came before you with the love of the kilt. Wear it.....Love it!!!! Slainte'-Josh
