moving right along into evening wear....
#9. Black cow hide casual evening sporran with antler tip toggle. I made a matching one for another dad in the area.
#10 . Recycled Sealskin semi-dress with black cow hide. Antler crown toggle. The rest of this sealskin coat went to other XMarkers. My dad and Uncle each have a match for this one.
#11. Semi dressy (er) hunting sporran for the lodge. Black moo moo.
#12. Black Elk hide with silver fox fur. Matching one on dad in Atlanta.
#13. A previous DIY thread. This young Grey Fox was a road kill gifted to me. I took her from freezer to Burns Supper with my own hands. My father has a mate, made from a silver fox stole. It's equally pretty. The additional fur from the body of his was used to make the bags for the two #12's. There wasn't enough of my fox left to even complete the bag for this sporran. The sides, and a portion of the front are made from very carefully matched panels from an old Raccoon fur coat.
The other sporrans were in a similar vein, and tended towards day wear. I'm working on a mold to cast pewter for cantles, as I've got a growing collection of nice leather and pelts for evening wear.
Cheers,
Kevin.
