As a friend on this forum, please let me give you some advice. Before you pull the trigger on this, please get a sample of the material and send it to a kiltmaker for a quality check. And ask for the exact weight you are ordering. And ask for a piece that shows the selvedge. The wool material I have seen coming from the Asian continent is not the same as what is woven in Scotland, or the UK for that matter. And what they say is 13 oz, may not be the same as "Scottish" 13 oz. If it is not of a good quality, you might be hard pressed to find a kiltmaker here that will make a kilt from it. If they are making the kilt, have you seen one of their products? I'm not try to discourage you from completing this project, but make sure you do your due dilligance. Know what your recourse is if you are not satisfied with the final product.

If you have done all this, then good for you. If it is a good quality material, please do a review and show us.

Good luck.
