Sorry if it was misleading. The one flag is going to all the sites. So far it's been to about 40 of them. What I collect is the sites for future flights. I also share this for those who retire from the Navy (as I am a career counselor, so of a after market recruiter).
I either take the flag to the site or (most of the time) mail it to the site with a disposable camera and a donation.
Some disappointments have been the UN, they won't fly a fly from a US warship, especially one that flew while it was engaged in war. I can kind of understand that. The other major disappointment is the National Mall. They won't fly a personal flag at any of the monuments. Even when I showed up in uniform, usually the rangers are more than willing but no joy on that. I really want to get my flag on one of the five remaining shuttle missions but no reply from NASA on my emails.
Thanks for that additional sites. I really like the one in Lebanon KS.
