I know one of my brother-in-laws does quite a bit of vermin trapping so I might be able to talk him out of some pelts instead of wasting them. I don't approve of killing just for the furs but he does it to help the farmers in his area.

Cased badger, otter, muskrat, beaver, raccoon, and bobcat pelts would be of particular value if you have the desire to start making sporrans. I would think with a little practice and a heavy duty sewing machine, one would be able to get the hang of it. The construction of the sporrans I own is pretty simple, but one needs the appropriate tools if going for a professional look. Hmmm. Wonder what a good heavy duty sewing machine would cost...
