I have a pattern for socks with the title 'socks which are simple to knit' and they are just ribbing and then stockinet.
They are fully shaped, though, but without any other complications.
I have the pattern on the computer. I found it typed out on plain paper in an old pattern book, and have used it quite a bit. It uses English 4 ply yarn, but that is available widely now.
However - it is so old that it makes a fairly small sock. Using thicker yarn and larger needles might be advisable, English double knitting or a yarn which usually knits at 6 st to the inch, but knitted tighter, otherwise the socks would wear out quite quickly.
I also have a pattern for knee high with turn over ribbed socks which fit quite nicely - that might do for a second pair.
Let me know if you'd like the patterns and I will send them as a PM.
