Was tooling around this weekend - out the Arizona Strip to get some delicious cheese, then laid over in St. George, Utah. Saturday went hiking out in Snow Canyon N.W. of St. George

Today, it was such a beautiful day I headed home through Zion National Park. Traffic and road construction precluded any pics from in the park but on the way found a dirt side road with a sign that said "La Verkin Viewpoint."


Distant hills are the Dixie National Forest west of St. George.


Looking to the S.W. - if you can see a canyon that's the start of the Virgin River Canyon.


And, looking North. The high ground in the background is Zion National Park.
