Although we have missed most of the snow here in Hawick the weather has turned very cold with the temperature on or below freezing point throughout the day and I only need to drive a few miles to be among six to eight inches of snow. A day for the Blaklader Craftsman's Kilt, the extra length covers the knees.
This kilt doesn't have proper pleats, rather the flared effect at the back is obtained by about ten tapering strips of material sewn together.
Red berries and snow - Christmas is coming.
There was a lot of snow lying in the yard at Bonjedward garage.

Bonjedward is on the route of Dere Street, a Roman Road which ran from the south of England to Trimontium fort near Melrose. This view looks eastwards towards the Cheviot Hills.
Back home, before the cold weather arrived, Scottish Gas Networks had begun digging up my front plot so that they could lay a new gas pipe. They have erected safety barriers around the holes they have dug. I hope they will do a good re-instatement job once the weather warms up.
Roll on Spring!!!!
