Talking 2011 Hogmany/ New Years etc.. photos

I was invited to a Hogmany party at the home of Ros and Paul, a ex-pat Scots couple. My wife and some friends were running in a New Years 5K, at midnight, so Dad and I wished her good luck, and hit the party!

Here's my Dad , Gus and I ready to go, my wife shot this one before she went to the run. My Dad is having the opposite problem some of us have with his kilt fitting, he needs to put on some weight!

    Ros greeting guests.

Gus takes up residence at the food table...

Here's me with singer/songwriter Sia Beaton, a founder of the Texas Scottish Heritage Society and the official spokeswoman for the Texas Bluebonnet Tartan.

There were many musicians and dancers on hand, so we had a little pre-New Years music..

Then a parade at midnight to frighten the neighbors ! I was asked to carry a flag, but my designated cameraman didn't get any good shots. Hopefully I'll find some others.

Returning from the parade, Ros serves up a wee dram!

And the ceilidh ran long into the night!
