Marriage is a sacrament, in the Catholic Church at least, one of seven. And it is to that sacrament to which I was referring. And to be clear, I was simply observing that I find the dress appropriate to that sacrament, not necessarily the sacrament of the Eucharist. Though i have never been to a Catholic wedding where the Eucharist was not celebrated as well.

And as someone who once participated in the sacraments of the Catholic church daily, as well as the liturgical prayer of the Church, I am well aware that as in your Church daily mass is generally attended by people in ordinary dress, not their 'Sunday Best'.

Again, I think they are wonderful photos of a special occasion and in my opinion the dress is very respectful of the occasion.

You're preaching to the choir, though...I am an "Anglo-Catholic" and a sub-deacon/altar server, and we have the same seven sacraments, sir, including the Sacrament of Marriage. I don't think I would classify formal rig as "Sunday Best"; to me that is a suit & tie, or in Highland rig, daywear.

And if I remember correctly, the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony in the RCC may be celebrated outside of the Mass -- but I'm getting too far OT now.

Again, it wasn't meant as dig towards you -- just my observations.
