Wearing my kilt downtown on a Friday Night
I am new to being kilted. So far I have worn my kilt to the office twice. I live and work in Ottawa, Canada, and I am in my young thirties.
Last night, which was a Friday, I wore my kilt out and we attended several dance clubs, pubs and a restaurant. Obviously on Friday nights the downtown core is very busy with lots of people.
I got nothing but compliments, fist bumps, good comments and lots of smiles, mostly from the ladies, and even from all of the bouncers and super tough-looking security dudes.
It did not matter the gender or age group (at one club it was mostly 20 year olds) - people just seemed to like the kilt! In fact I have never met so many strangers in one night - people just seem to approach you when you are kilted...
I was truly expecting that some young 20 year old insecure guy would make some stupid comment about me being in a kilt. But nada! Even the young twenty year old guys liked it!
