I've been dying to share my new kilt with all of you. You may remember the problem Den McDough had with a certain kilt maker - three attempts to rectify a badly made kilt. The manager of that outfitter, Peter reid went out of his way to make things right, and finally left the firm to start his own business - Reid Kilts.
I'm proud to say I'm his first customer, and am delighted with what I got from him. It's an 8-yard, 16 oz Weather MacLeod of Harris tank, pleated to the red stripe.

I've worn kilts off and on (mostly in bands) for around four decades, and this is one of the nicest kilts I've owned. The fit is superb and I'm delighted with the quality of workmanship. Reid's prices are competitive, (reasonable) and he kept me in the loop during the time my kilt was being made. I love the tartan, which will work well with either brown or black sporran, belt & shoes.
