Review of the MacLachlan Hunting Tartan Deal Kilt
I got it last week, finally took a few pictures to show it.
This is a PV kilt, relatively light to medium weight. If I compare it to a USAK casual, it is a little heavier. It is machine stitched and it's quite apparent that it is machine stitched. The selvedge is not that great, but it's better than a hem. It's not a kilt that I would wear out on the town, but I will wear it to the park and anywhere else that could get dirty. It is made to measure which is great for the price I paid for it. I paid a total of 93$USD (shipping included). Would I get another one?? If the tartan is right, you bet.
Now to the pics

The front, I'll have to stitch the reverse pleat on the bottom to hide it from view.

Sorta pleated to the sett...

The lining is red, I'll have to wash it a few times before I trust it with a light colored shirt... In the meantime, I'll wear black...

Buckles don't match, the stitching is very visible. I will take off the 3rd buckle and belt a replace them elsewhere to get a more flexible fit. (see next pictures for an example)
