I am quite "mature"! 82 to be exact. (no need for 20 year guarantee) I am of Irish/Scottish ancestry & attend games & Celtic events. Ive long thought about getting some Scottish wear. My use would be occasional golf, neighborhood parties, family events & perhaps to the games & events. I am not wealthy and this would be a luxury item. However, I do not want junk either. My questions: What minimum items need I purchase? Kilt+ ? I would like ready made & to stay under $150 if possible. I see a kilt for under $100 that is my size - in Acrylic, 12oz. -l 7-8 yards of fabric- Specs:
Bottom edge is traditional selvedge, not hemmed
Deep first pleat and reversed final pleat
Pleats are sewn down at the hips
Three wide leather straps & cast buckles
Belt loops- that actually fit a wide kilt belt!
Double-row offset fringe on front apron edge
Full-width comfort lining- extends down 12"
Pleated to the sett (tartan pattern appears across pleats)

Would I be embarrassed to wear this to a Celtic event. Any and all help & advise would be most appreciated.
Thank you, Joseph
