I agree with Biblemonkey, it looks like a dandy belt pouch. I would use it for small items or a change pouch. I can use the cup in the background as a size guage (my wife has a cup very close to that one) and can say without a doubt that it is too small to be used as a sporran.

    Cheers,

I don't know what that is, Nighthawk, but I think you should make a Colorado pictorial sporran with scenes and themes of Colorado all over it.

    Sporran? Not so much.

Norse belt pouch? Very possibly. In fact, with a few mods, it'd be exactly what I need to complete my kit.

Alright, folks, thanks for the input. I should point out that the friend of mine who makes that used a Renaissance Festival tankard, and not a coffee cup, for the back ground. It's actually the same size as a Stillwater Kilts Nightstalker sporran, which is why I was wondering, given the fact that the Nightstalker is rather popular. Seems a better picture may be in order... As to my own interests... Well, I know it's not a traditional sporran- but then, those of you who know me know that I love the modern as well as the traditional.

I personally prefer a "longer" sporran over a wide, short sporran... being a substantial gentleman, I find the wide sporrans less flattering.

Vain, I know, but good to play to your strengths.

Which is why you should put a train on your Colorado themed sporran, Nighthawk.

You know, I have so many ideas in me noggin for a sporran for that kilt... I want to make one with a Denver Broncos logo on the flap, one with a columbine and the colors of the flag... Oh so many ideas!!
