I'll be there with Shotts and Dykehead. Having to Qualify this year, due to a major re shuffle in the Pipe Corps, so will play (initially hopefully) at 10.30.

Hang about at the G1 circle and give me a shout when we come off?

At present trying to wriggle out of my nephews 4th birthday party on Saturday afternoon, love to be at his party but the Worlds at Glasgow Green on a fine day is a sight to behold. Might be at Red Hot Chilli Pipers concert on Friday at old Fruitmarket in Merchant City

If they do the same thing this year as last, in a day or two they'll post all the videos to their website so you can watch at leisure.

The qualifier round starts at 4 am ET; the finals at 730 am.

Pity the weather is not going to be too good on Saturday, all week most of the Glasgow Parks have had pipers practising in them and have gathered crowds, but the weather is now lamentable with flood warnings all over the country, like the Scottish Pipe Band Championship in May, the constant rain took away from what is always a spectacular event.

On a brighter note all week the ''Piping Live'' events have been going on and quite a few indoors, the Old Fruitmarket in the Merchant City area of Glasgow has the Red Hot Chilli Pipers on Friday night then a big massive Shindig at the same venue on Saturday night
