    I once had a customer (and his wife) come in to be measured. He INSISTED he was a 34 (his pants size). I measured him at 37 which is about standard for someone with a 34 pants.

    He didn't believe me. I brought out another tape measure and did it again. His WIFE read off the # on the tape. He still thought it was wrong.

    After going back and forth for a couple minutes, I said the following in a light-hearted and friendly joking way:

    "I can make a kilt to fit your body or a kilt to fit your ego. Which would you prefer?"

    He opted with the body and the kilt fit perfectly.
