Jonathan, I could not agree with you more.
I have some piccies of hiking here http://www.camriversigns.com.au/home/page15.html
Hiking in a kilt redefines the word "freedom" IMHO.

I have to agree w/ you all. I can't wait to get out of trousers when I get home. I love hiking kilted and it is actually one of my greatest pleasures. I've made a few box pleated kilts that are purpose built for hiking. I'll be hiking the Huachuca Mountain trail over the Thanksgiving weekend. O'Neille

I'm getting to the stage where I almost resent not being able to go out kilted
Had a hospital appointment today for example and knew they would want to examine my abdomen

Why'd that stop you from kilting? Granted, the two times I've recently visited the doc myself, I've been out of uniform. Just didn't feel like wearing a kilt...

Well it seemed more practical and stopped me revealing any more than was necessary

Of course, I don't own any trousers so I have no choice! However, I pay regular visits to my local surgery nurses and to the hospital. At both locations they've seen it all before and admit there is nothing new under the sun, so I have no concerns.
A few years ago, I had an operation on a leg and I recall my Surgeon saying to me at a pre-op consultation how much easier his job would be if all men wore kilts like me, instead of trousers!!

As a Handyman I am up and down ladders and under sinks all the time. Most of the days I work are in carhart shorts with kilt socks. As soon as I am home I Put on My Kilt. Off with the shorts and on with the kilt.
