And the welcomes keep coming, thanks.
I think that my wife is going to have to come to terms with me wearing a kilt sooner rather than later. My USA kilt arrived today. So far I have only worn the UtiliKilt and X-kilt to Wednesday night church where I help with the youth (teenagers); they love it, but it gets mixed reviews from the adults. Most just don't know what to think. Now that the tartan kilt is here we have plans later this week to go see a tailor to have a coat converted into a kilt jacket and get a couple alterations to a dress she just purchased. Of course, I need to wear the kilt so that the tailor can take proper measurements. The fun part, which is the part she is affraid of, is that on that same trip into town we are going to her doctor on a follow up visit related to her knee injury. I'm trying to get her to agree to me wearing it to Sunday service tomorrow to show her it won't be as bad as she expects. She is concerned that people will think "I can't believe she let him out of the house dressed like that." As for me, who cares, I'm privy to something they know nothing about.

Eaglemo
Welcome, I'm new to X Marks also having joined about a month ago! I'm in Jacksonville, Florida and am a member of Clan MacLaren the scouting and Wood Badge. My wife is Scotch-Welsh and can be a member of 4 different clans. I wear the kilt to scout functions and Highland Games mostly, but will probably start wearing kilts more in the future!
All the best,
Eaglemo

Thanks. Looking at your username I would guess that you are a fellow Eagle Scout. Am I correct?

scouting
Unfortunately, I am not an Eagle Scout...missed it by "that much." However, I am an Eagle through Wood Badge! I've been in scouts for about 50 years, have held many positions, still hold several positions, and will always be an Eagle at heart!

Coming in late, but welcome once more. I live in Ocala and work in Lecanto. I'll keep an eye out for the random kilt to pass by.

Wow! You're not too far from me. But chances are slim that you would actually see me in a kilt unless you stop by First Baptist Church in Inverness on a Wednesday evening and head to the Youth room. My wife is concerned about me wearing the kilt, and so I have to take "baby steps" to get her accustomed to it. For some reason she can't explain, it is a big hurdle for her.
Hmmm. I wonder if meeting someone else in a kilt would help her at all.
