Great stuff! Love the bias cut waistcoat, as always!
"Before two notes of the theme were played, Colin knew it was Patrick Mor MacCrimmon's 'Lament for the Children'...Sad seven times--ah, Patrick MacCrimmon of the seven dead sons....'It's a hard tune, that', said old Angus. Hard on the piper; hard on them all; hard on the world." Butcher's Broom, by Neil Gunn, 1994 Walker & Co, NY, p. 397-8.

Robert, you dress so well! What mill wove the Robertson Red cloth? It's beautiful. Just curious that's all. Wonderful photos. Thank you!

Wow... I wonder if we can talk her into coming here and drumming with the LA Scots...
I don't know where this guy is going, but I'll wager he'll have a good time when he gets there!

BTW my father-in-law went to university in Fribourg. He met my mother-in-law in Switzerland: she was attending university in France and was in Switzerland on holiday.
Though Americans, they've spent much time in Europe, and keep up on their French (and my father-in-law on his German).

Then there's the Scottish "pizza supper", a pizza covered in chips, folded over, battered, and deep fried.
