And Zardoz, that is hilarious. The best I have ever had was when a lady asked me while wearing the below, "Are you Australian?"

Well, mate , you LOOK Australian!

    Re: It happened to me...

While wearing my kilts, I've been asked if I was every nationality from German to French to English (Cringe! Well, they were close). So was the person who ashed if I was Irish. As for the question of if I play the bagpipes, I have responded with "Nope the ukelele". Once when I was asked where my bagpipes were I said "I don't play the pipes, I play the bongos". You should have seen the look on face at that one. Priceless and me without my camera.

A woman once pointed at my skean dubh and asked if I was going to play a tune. "On what?" says I. "On the flute in your sock. Don't all Scotsmen carry flutes?"

    Re: It happened to me...

Well, it wasn't a kilt related question; but I do remember one time a guy came into the optical shop I was working at, and asked where the "bisexual frames" were. I said, "do you mean unisex?"... "Oh...yeah!" Then he started laughing when he realized what he'd said. You can't make this stuff up... it's priceless.

    Still...harmonica?! That takes the cake.
