Rex, let's assume toasting will occur at 8 PM GMAT, which may be too early in your day. Nevertheless, we know you are with us in 'spirit'!
Sadly I somehow missed the entry here, enjoy the pub Ern. There is a wonderful middle aged barmaid there who was very nice to me. As I sat and enjoyed my Pint she, without asking, provided me a whole host of information on all the local beers on tap, real ale in Scotland and a handful of coasters. The regulars were warm and friendly. I wasn't seated more than a few minutes before I would up in conversation and was introduced around. Enjoy with Jock, I was there in the bitter chill of January I hope your weather is better.

    Re: Scotland trip 2011.

Well, regretably the meeting with Mael did not happen. I have spoken to Mael and with a combination of him being pretty tired(it seems that a couple of months of gentle training is required for the trip!) and a widget on my car's gearbox deciding to play up, our meeting did not happen. We have a Plan "B" and a Plan "C" though and maybe if the coach stops at Glenfinnan, later in the trip, we may well meet up. I can report that Mael sounds on tip top form.

Just for interests sake. Did you know that many parts of a Jeep are made by Fiat?

Fiat bought the shares for Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep that the US government bought during the bail out.
