Re: Online Scots RC
Good call!
Ok, we'll start at the basics.
A Riding Club is as simple as the name says. Its a group of like minded folks who belong to a club with common interests. Yes, you wear a patch on your back if you choose. You don't have to, but if you joined the club why not wear the patch? It's kind of informal, loosely knit and generally pretty casual.
It's not a criminal conspiracy. It's not a pack of thugs and gangsters. It's a social club, in this case a social club for folks who wear tartan and ride a motorcycle. That's all. Nothing more. This isn't a liscence to raise heck and cause mischief. If you're looking for something more tightly knit, more exclusive then find a MC. Been there, done that, got out and I'm not going back.
There are outward similarities that could cause the unschooled to confuse a RC with a MC. There are also certain customs of the MC world you'll need to know, but we'll get there.
For now, I'd like to see a couple prosective names thrown out there. Those of us interested will vote and once we have a name I'll set up a social group here on the forum where we can get into lingo, customs, and start hashing out the RC Charter.
Sorry if I'm rambling a bit... I'm at job #2 and have had about 3.5 hour of sleep in the last 48 or so.
I'll throw out the first name idea...... Thistle Backs.... pics of my concept for a vest (not a "cut") will follow in the next couple days.
