    Last night 2.5 hours:
    - Cut/Ironed/Sewn Belt (pictured)
    - Cut/Ironed/(1/2) sewn Waistband
    - Cut/Sewn belt loops

    Next to do:
    - Complete inside seam of waistband
    - Attache belt loops w/D-rings
    - FINAL WASH
    - Anything else? (crap) Pockets/sporran (if I have time today)

    Re: Green and Gold

OK done finally (and no blood stains from pricked fingers... I am not a fan of sewing canvas now by hand when doing my waistband). Getting canvas to work fold/bend right when you have lots of layers isn't a picnic, and I probably won't do another 2-tone one but this was just for getting muddy/sweaty and having fun with. My sewing machine is a workhorse (almost 20 years old) and was even able to push through on getting the straps on AND the multiple layers when putting on the pockets.

    So without further ado:

The final product (I know I still need to trim the straps.)

    Lets show some color

Just in time for me to leave in 6 hours to head up to northern florida for a triathlon... Still debating if I am going to wear it for the run, or just for after the event gatherings.

That is a grand kilt - I am envious of the amount of time you can spend on sewing, several hours in a day just isn't going spare here.

The colour contrast is well chosen, the vivid flash of yellow looks rather classy.

Splendid turn out and I thank you again for the Australian colours

Now off topic, Mike will you now concede, after today's result, that the kilt is of Aussie colours

    Sorry for the digression

Mike (Downunder), considering the role of a biased ref in that game, I don’t think I can concede.
In any case, the kilt is dark green with flashes of yellow, not yellow with pale green bits.

No, No Mike, Is there ever a game where the Refs are not at fault

I was suprised we won, and as for the kilt, when I first saw the green, my immediate thought was S.A. green too, so it's yours. Cheers mate
