I agree with general feeling towards Tom's in this thread.

Let's not forget however, that Tom's always stood for kilts and skirts and for freedom of expression. Perhaps kilts should never have been included on that particular board in the first place as they are already an established and acceptable male garment.

I think those of us who prefer kilts only, have found a new home.

Good luck to Tom. He seems a great bloke.

(Let me first say I have all respect for Tom but I dont agree with pushing for men to be able to wear skirts...)

I am glad that most of you agree that the Freedom in Fashion is not what we are after. We do not have a "cause" here. Kilts are already accepted male garments. It is just the ignorant around that don't accept kilt wearing. We are not here to fight for acceptance of men wearing women's garments.

I do want to let you all know too that I will shut this forum down before I will let it become a Fashion Freedom site or what ever they are calling it. Thanks guys!

I have no problem with men in skirt, but that is not my style. I don't really think we are pushing the limit of fashion freedom, we are just re-introducing a male garment back into the society. Kilts were part of the fashion in the good ole' days, and fell out of populairty with introduction of pants/shorts/demin jeans.

We are just brining it back. We are brining it out of the highland games, weddings, graduations, and other formal events.

It is part of the history that should not forgotten.

I have to agree with everything that has been written in this thread.

I still drop into Tom's from time to time to see if there's any posts of interest.

I can echo Phil's observation that there is certainly a lot of whining and whinging going on over there, not to mention the whole women's clothing thing.

I know a bunch of us tried to get the Braveheart's forum going but there are just too many techincal bugs.

I am so glad to have found this forum (thanks Al!).

I don't understand why a man wants to wear womens clothes in the first place. They're cut for an entirely different body shape and never will look right. And womens shoes are another thing. Women don't even like wearing them. They aren't designed for a real human foot and cause a great deal of misery.

I have heard about Chris' Atrium but until today I don't think I have ever visited it. No offence to those who post there, but Yikes! This place makes Tom's look like a football locker room!
