    On the other hand, thrift shops usually don't charge big prices for clothing, and you could take the garment apart, press the creases out of it, and use the fabric as a Christmas tree skirt or tablecloth.

    all very good points. as it is right now i doubt it even wearable with out the inside strap, otherwise it would be very revealing while walking. although the xmas tree skirt idea is kinda tempting, because the price tag was very doable.

    Well, an alternative perspective.

    Although I am not a Stewart, many others are. And, in spite of the over commercialization of the Royal Stewart tartan, I am not sure I would want to take part in what could be interpreted as a disrespectful use of it.

    Just a thought.
