Over reaction? Reading in insult where there was none? Unless, of course, you're one of those unethical Pakistani businessmen who was getting poked fun at. Are unethical businessmen a race? I thought they existed in every culture. I could be wrong, though...

Don't feed the Troll....
There's no troll, Z. Just someone who wants to find an insult. That is simply a symptom of a PC society. We think we somehow have the right not to be offended. There was no racial slight made- we all know that- but a region was mentioned, so there invariably was that one person who had to make up a reason to get offended. He's not being a troll- just another victim of the political correctness movement. I'm not fat... I'm horizontally challenged...

I can believe this. I have a 50 yard kit - it looks really good from 50 yards!

Re: "Well my kilt is pure wool - 35 yards"
A woman at an Irish festival once asked me if my kilt was wrapped round and round. If kilts were constructed the way she thought then they might be 35 yards long. I didn't have the heart to explain that she was wrong.

I was just told the other day that a "proper kilt is 13 yards and very heavy"

Re: "Well my kilt is pure wool - 35 yards"
As the originator of the "Pakistani" comment, please allow me to clarify.
By "Pakistani" I meant the low end kilt industry in Pakistan. The guys that advertise "man made wool" when they mean acrylic and "genuine Scottish design" when they mean a knock off of a traditional Scottish garment and tell you it's and 8 yard kilt that features 10 pleats about 1" deep.
The comment was in no way a slight against Pakistan as a country, a people or a culture. At no time did I feel that I was somehow better than any Pakistani because of race. But then again, that would be bigotry, not racism.
