We had this same "remember when" discussion among the family. We can remember being cold and bundled up on Halloween. But none can remember traversing snow piles in order to go Trick or Treat. So this early (and sizeable) snow is unusual. Fortunately, much has melted and roads self-cleared in most of central Pennsylvania. Now, if only the electricity can be restored to everyone.... That will take days.

Well, this isn't so much as a remember when story as it is recent history. The daughter is only 15 this year. It was more of an illustration of life in Nova Scotia. Winters here are like Forrest Gump chocolates and were quite a surprise to this snow deprived southern Ontario girl....
