Kilts aren't fashionable enough to be considered edgy these days, it's canvas sneakers, girl jeans (on men), and retro Western plaid shirts, topped with a mop-top, scruffy beard, and horn rimmed glasses. Put a Pabst Blue Ribbon in one hand and an iPhone in the other for bonus points.

The overall hipster response to my kilt has been righteous indignation, even when wearing it in a modern style (t-shirt, boots, scrunched hose).

Of course I say this while on the razor-sharp precipice of "young" and "old". I'm too young to relate to those considered "Old", and am way too old to relate to those considered "young".
