Kiltin' 'round the cubicles
I have a black poly-cotton kilt that works well with over-the-calf black dress socks and a pair of black dress lace-up boots. A just-over-the-ankle boot will balance the length of the toe, and a low raised heel, well, improves your calves' look. Mine are vintage Justins, but Zappos.com has some interesting choices. There are others, I'm sure, and low boots predate oxfords and brogues as daily-wear shoes.

A solid color or pinstripe midweight worsted wool kilt is a dressier office look. I've only seen that offered from Geoffrey (Tailor) 21st Century Kilts, and that's a bit over my head price-wise. If I get an office job ever again, that's on my list.

Good Luck!
