I hope they post road signs in Inverness warning us about this.
As a total aside, I happen to think that GGGP would look great in a flat cap and swishy kilt skirt.
Why thank you, I have worn this.
black flat cap, black (billie) kilt, black ""wife beater" tank top, cardigan, and motorcycle boots.
I was completely in drag!

Those hose look very nice and nothing wrong with flat caps in my book.
I just don't wear my baseball cap with a kilt

Re: Strings outrageous Kilt Hose, take two
One of these days I'm going to post a picture of me with my klezmer band.
I play Klezmer (Jewish party music) in a kilt as often as not. I'm bald on top....though I prefer to refer to that as the "double reverse mohawk"...so the usual yarmulke doesn't kind of "work" you know?
Our band is named "The Cha'i Five"..."cha'i being the Hebrew alphabet symbol for "Life". Also, the number "eighteen" I understand. ANYWAY.....And so it came to pass that we chose this hat as our official "Band Uniform".

Yes, I am going to wear that hat with my kilts.

Alan, great name for the band, I could not help but think of Dave Brubeck:

Oh by the way I love the hose, I'm normally not one for white hose, though my first pair were indeed white. To me there are so many other colours that work with most tartans. I will say what elevates your hose from the norm is the sheer quality of them. They just look wonderful and they really must be a joy to own. Continue to wear them well.

Re: Strings outrageous Kilt Hose, take two
What stands out to me about String's' hose is that they are obviously (In a good way)hand knit.
I hooked on the kilt pin too - partly from history, and partly that its NOT a sword.
Sharp look for sure.

The majestic String did a fine job with those hose, especially the sideways cables.

Those are very sharp Alan. This is one time where I can't say anything about the color of the hose. It just works.
As a Navy man, I dig the fouled anchor. Something similar is on my wish list. My old crow is getting pretty beat up and may be due for retirement soon.
On a side note--and slightly off topic--is that a BK sporran? It appears to have a darker leather edging on the flap, but all the ones I've seen are one shade of brown. If I can locate one like that I'll buy it in a heartbeat!
The grass is greener on the other side of the fence...and it's usually greenest right above the septic tank.

Dad was navy, and I'm a sailor, so the fouled anchor is a natural for a kilt pin for me. I've had three....lost two, but X-Marker Kiltambar found this one at the Pleasanton Games and got it for me. I like it a lot!
The sporran is just a Buzz Kidder. I've had it for several years. The belt is from Stillwater Kilts.
