Thank you very much...
I do feel like I want to have a philosophy of dress that uses available fabric that I can affordably find (I am a "starving artist" - well maybe not that but "difficulty paying rent and bills artist" for sure - after all and a $200 kilt broke the bank and $30 kilt hose are just too much). So in a way, I feel like I am like some poor peasant who needs to be resourceful and use what fabric works... but just leg wrappings seem more archaic to me and I like it.
I might make a cape out of some fabric from the fabric store or just use some length of wide tartan maybe I can find.
I don't feel like I want to wear any type of modern jacket but use more lengths of fabric material (larger and wider than a typical scarf) and see if I can survive a winter like that.
Today I did find myself tucking a loose end of my (rather narrow) neck scarf into my belt so it went across my body adding a bit of a layer of defense against the winter storm ... if I had wider fabric, it would add a lot of warmth against such weather.
