Never miss an opportunity to hear them live, if you get the chance. Their music and stage act are both fantastic and let's face it the pipes just don't comes across so well digitised. Didn't stop me buying their CD's though.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

Upon preparation of our playing with them I did some research. I went to reversal thinking they played redpipes.
When we arrived they were tuning up their pipes. They really sound that good in person. I swore that they were fake but I assure you they are real air blown pipes. One of them did admit that when live they use a small amount of auto tuning software to correct for the pressure fluctuation wile they are dancing and jumping on stage.

I can say this much. The red hot chillie pipers deserve every bit of money they earn. They work hard on stage. They do great with the VIP's and the press and they are genuinely a great bunch of guys. I saw them recently at a local highland games and they recognized me and we hung out and had a pint after the show. I can't say enough about these guys. If you play the pipes or know what or takes to play. Do NOT miss these guys.

Sorry if I am rambling. Blame it on my home brew.
