Lad, that's absolutely wicked!!

Your giving this Canadian a whole bunch of ideas right now! Admittedly, when I wear a peacoat in winter with my kilt I just leave the bottom button undone. This looks much finer for sure. I like the arc cutaway as well, good idea! It seems that you maintain much more fabric there in the front than a normal cutaway, making it warmer still.

Thanks again all. To all my cold weather friends. It was around 35 degrees when I wore it last and I was very very warm. And thats without a liner. The best feature is that it holds off the wind when buttoned up. I will not hesitate to try this again with a different color wool dress coat! Again, if I can get off my behind I will post better pics of the front and the back so you can see the split in the back. I think everyone should give it a try. If I can do it...
