How about that Hamish!! I know Southsea well, we were always down there as a kid, walking along South parade Pier, playing on the penny arcade, even swimming on that small beach at Old Portsmouth etc.
I took my wife to Portsmouth in 99 and stayed with a cousin I still have in Southsea.
I think the schools I attended were Drayton road primary ad Lydhurst Road, which was close to Balfour Road, our last address before emigrating.
I was surprised to see so many cars parked down all those back streets, when i lived there few people owned a car.
