Great work as usual Artificer, that black bag looks an absolute treat against the brass. Congratulations mate on two great creations.
A to you and the new owner. ( Glad to see the square top one go to a good home Jack)

BTW that is the first MOD MKII that I have seen with 5 rivets on each face, something new to add to the memory banks, thankyou

Excellent work, as always! I knew you'd deliver when I recommended you to Jack Daw at the San Antonio games last April, but you've outdone yourself again. Congratulations to both you and Steve on a pair of BEAUTIFUL sporrans.

After being away for a spell, it is a real treat Scott to view what you've been up to!

Each one of these is an heirloom piece that will be handed down from generation to generation. The design and craftsmanship is spectacular. Beautiful work, Artificer!

I also wondered how many hours it takes to make sporrans of such quality and attention to detail, especially Thistledown's sporran with the hammered leather.

Great looking pieces. They have the period look that I very much favor.

Brilliant work, as usual, Scott! Those bags are absolutely fantastic, and very, very classic in feel.

    Jack is a lucky man.

Sorry I'm not quite able to quantify hours spent, chaps. I don't usually work that way. Between dyeing (where applicable) glueing, braiding and stitching I have a fairly loose estimate of time usage. Also, I usually have several projects churning at once, so while dye is drying one one project, I'm doing sketches or hammering studs in another piece.

Much like formulae you've seen for kilt-makers (handmade) the time/vs/compensation is relatively small. Nobody gets rich with hand crafts anymore.
