Re: Sporrons
One other method of wearing a sporran, yet to be mentioned, is via a whang attached to the sporran, a la my recently aquired sporran for member Harorld Cannon

Harolds sporrans do not come cheap, but after receiving the sporran it gave me an idea to rejuvenate a old Craigie sporran that I have had for years. I used a two and a half inch wide piece of leather, punched 3 holes in the back of the sporran and 3 in the strap and used chicago screws to attach the strap. It has added a new lease of life to the Craigie sporran

Re: Sporrons
Thanks Terry, I thought I had a photo of the rejuvenated craigie sporran in my photo bucket account but alias NO. Will be right back, I'll go and do one.

Re: Sporrons
Hi manckilt and welcome from another GOS. Dependant on your waist size I have a new set of sporran chains that fit up to a 46 inch waist which you can have for free if they are of any use. If so pm me your details and I will gladly post them to you. Alternatively scotweb make a sporran strap for about £10 which is good value as I have a couple (brown and black). They used to be made to order but I think that they do hold a certain amount in stock now.
Friends stay in touch on FB simon Taylor-dando
Best regards

Re: Sporrons
I used rivets to join two children's belts from Walmart. Saved the buckle on one of them... I have two matching, one brown, one black.
Have fun and throw far. In that order, too. - o1d_dude

Simon: Nice offer. It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas! Have a merry one.

I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.
