Looks fantastic - particularly for someone who claims not to know how to sew!

It looks good with the Ramsay Blue tartan; though maybe a bit heavy on the blue... Do you plan to make a red waistcoat? I think that would look fantastic with that particular tartan.

Madmacs: Thanks. The kilt is the one I started tonight. It's Oakleigh PV from Marton Mills.

Cygnus: I'm not a fan of red. I love rich, vivid blue. I like green as well. I plan to make a black one and probably a forest green one maybe even a navy blue one. Now that I know how to do it, the possibilities are limitless. I have some 16 oz. Grampian Modern tartan from Marton Mills that I intend to make into a kilt in the near future. It will likely be the main one I wear this waistcoat with.
