Hello Burly Bute, I have done lots of research on this and it all depends on your needs. If you want a good hosted cart i would recommend Magento. It does have a bit of a learning curve to it though. Open cart is a great cart as well that is easy to use and well supported. I would stay away from the Oscommerce, zen carts ones as they are older and have lots of exploits in my experience.
